Enhancing equipment with runes and rune extraction
Only equipment of legendary type can be enhanced with a rune. To do so, go to the Enhancing tab of the Gemmery.
Runes can be inlaid into the fourth slot of all legendary equipment and into the sixth slot of legendary equipment of upgrade level 15. The enhancement process happens instantly and without expending any resources. You can enhance a piece of equipment with two identical runes if you want.
There are two ways to free up the space for a new rune in the enhanced equipment:
- By destroying the old rune.
- By applying the Rune Extractor item. In this case, the old rune is saved in the Storeroom and may be used again.
The type of the Rune Extractor should be at least as high as that of the rune that you wish to remove. The item is destroyed after use, but you can purchase a new one in the Bonuses tab of the Item Store.
To extract Imperial runes from your equipment, use the legendary Rune Extractor.
