Battle for Avalon

Description

The Battle for Avalon is an era-defining Tournament for Orders. It takes place on a separate island called Avalon. Orders capture Avalon Towers and make their way from the edges of the map to the heart of the island. Orders earn points by holding Towers.

By passing checkpoints and taking one of the top places in the Tournament ranking, an Order receives Medals of the Druids. The Order Master can spend these Medals in the Avalon Store tab of the Order Store to purchase pieces of equipment and items, which they can then send to the members of their Order.

To find out when the Tournament starts and ends, its tasks, and other information:

  • Open the Tournaments tab in the Events window and select the block of the "Battle for Avalon" Tournament
  • Select the icon of the active Battle for Avalon Tournament on the Kingdom map or World Map

For your Order to be able to participate in the Battle for Avalon, it must have been created no later than 24 hours before the Tournament was announced.

Rules in Avalon:

  • The Master cannot disband the Order or transfer power to another Order member.
  • Lords cannot quit their Order, create a new one, or join another Order.
  • Neither the Master nor the Counselors can expel a Lord from the Order.
  • Lords earn Trophies of Arms for destroying all warriors except for those belonging to rulers from their home Kingdom.

To communicate with Tournament participants in Avalon, go to the Avalon Chat.

Town relocation

The Battle for Avalon era-defining Tournament is held in Avalon. To relocate your Town there, use the Avalon Invasion item, and to return to your home Kingdom, use the Return to Amaria item.

You can purchase the Avalon Invasion and the Return to Amaria items in the Item Store and in the Order Store. You will receive these items for free in the block of the Battle for Avalon Tournament in the Events window.

Requirements for relocating a Town to Avalon:

  • Your Order must be participating in the Battle for Avalon
  • Your Palace must be level 34 or higher
  •  You joined the Order at least 30 minutes before the Tournament was announced

Avalon consists of Eternal Isles, on which Avalon Towers are located, and the Outlands.

The Outlands are the territory around the Eternal Isles. This is where your Town appears when you relocate from your home Kingdom to Avalon.

After you've relocated to the Outlands, the first Town's Shadow will remain in place of your Town in your home Kingdom. It prevents other Lords from placing their Towns on your territory. Your Town will return to the place of this Shadow after the Battle for Avalon is over or when you use the Return to Amaria item.

Use the Relocation item to relocate your Town from the Outlands to:

  • Anywhere in the Outlands
  • The territory of an Avalon Tower that has been captured by your Order or Pact

In the Outlands, you can attack the Towns of enemy Lords and exchange reinforcements and resources with members of your Order or Pact.

Avalon Towers are located on the Eternal Isles. The Isles are connected by bridges or gateways.

When you relocate from the Outlands to the Eternal Isles, a second Town's Shadow remains in the Outlands. It prevents other Lords from placing their Towns on that spot. This is the only place to which you can relocate your Town if you want to return to the Outlands.

To view the whole of Avalon, open the mini-map. It shows the following objects:

  • Avalon Towers
  • Your landmarks
  • Your Order members' Towns

Towers that are controlled by your Order are marked in green, and Towers that have been captured by the members of your Pact are marked in blue.

Avalon Towers

Avalon Towers are Castles on the Eternal Isles. The Avalon Sentinels guard these Castles.

After capturing a Tower, the Order earns points by controlling it. The closer to the Heart of Avalon the Tower is located, the more points the Order will score in the Battle for Avalon.

An Order can only hold a maximum of three Avalon Towers at a time.

A Tower territory consists of tiles near an Avalon Tower where Towns can be placed. The number of such places is limited.

Neighboring Towers are Avalon Towers that are connected by a bridge or gateway.

Avalon Towers differ by:

  • Level. This affects the number of Avalon Sentinels defending the Tower, the number of reinforcements it can host, and the number of points that are earned by holding it.
  • Letter. Avalon Towers can have letters A, B, C, D, or E, where A are Towers near the Outlands, and E is the central Tower. The number next to the letter refers to the sequence number of a Tower.

You can only attack an Avalon Tower by means of a Raid.

From the Outlands, members of your Order or Pact can capture any Tower that is connected to the Outlands by a bridge.

If you are on the territory of an Avalon Tower, you can only attack neighboring Towers that are connected with yours by a bridge or gateway.

Let's have a look at the following situation. Your Order's Towns are in the Outlands. You want to take control of the central Avalon Tower. You won't be able to reach it directly from the Outlands. First, you need to capture the Tower that is nearest to the Outlands. Then, from the territory of this Tower, you can set off to the neighboring Tower, and so on, until you reach the center.

This means you need to capture Avalon Towers connected by bridges or gateways one by one in sequence, and thus make your way from the edges to the center.

How to capture an Avalon Tower:

  • If there are Avalon Sentinels or enemy troops in a Tower, you will need to dislodge them by means of a Raid.
  • If there are only scouts in a Tower, send your scout troops there or perform a Raid right away.

Once an Order has captured a Tower, the Order will earn points for every second it holds the Tower. Members of this Order or Pact will be able to relocate their Towns to the Tower's territory from anywhere in Avalon — from the Outlands or from other isles.

If your Order or Pact loses the Avalon Tower, all Towns on its territory will be relocated to the Outlands, to the places where their Towns' Shadows are located. If these Lords have reinforcements in other Towns or Towers, their reinforcements will remain where they are.

Reports about defending an Avalon Tower, sending Raids, and performing espionage are only sent to those Lords whose troops participated in the relevant battles. You cannot share reports about Raids on Avalon Towers. However, you can view information about battles in Towers in the "Battles of Order members" section of the Order window.

Features of attacks, Raids, and other types of marches

To attack an opponent's Town on the territory of an Avalon Tower, locate your Town on the territory of a neighboring Tower. That is, the territories must be connected by a bridge or gateway.

If a Raid is being performed on the Eternal Isles, all participants in the Raid must relocate their Towns to the territory of the same Avalon Tower as the Raid initiator.

If a Raid takes place in the Outlands, only those Lords who are also located in the Outlands can send troops on the Raid.

If your Order or Pact is holding an Avalon Tower, reinforcements can be sent by:

  • Lords whose Towns are located on the Tower's territory
  • Lords whose Towns are located on the territory of a neighboring Tower, that is, one that is connected with your Tower by a bridge or gateway
  • Lords whose Towns are located anywhere in the Outlands, if your Tower borders on the Outlands

To send reinforcements or carts to members of your Order or Pact, you must:

  • Locate your Town on the territory of the same Tower as them.
  • Locate your Town on the territory of one of the neighboring Towers, that is, one that is connected by a bridge or gateway.

In the Outlands, members of the same Order or Pact can send reinforcements or carts to each other from any location.

Please note:

  • You cannot use Inaccessibility in the Heart of Avalon (the central Avalon isle). If your Town is successfully attacked there, you will be relocated to your Town's Shadow in the Outlands.
  • If there are no troops in an Avalon Tower that is being held by your Order, and an opposing Order successfully attacks the Tower, it will fall under the attacking Order's control.
  • If reinforcements in an Avalon Tower that is being held by your Order only contain scouts, and an opposing Order successfully attacks the Tower, it will fall under the attacking Order's control, and the scouts will return to their Towns.
  • If one of your Avalon Towers is attacked by an Order that is already holding three Towers, and the attack is successful, the attacking Order's troops will return to their Towns. You won't lose control over the Castle in this case.
  •  You cannot attack Towers or Towns that belong to members of your Pact. You can send reinforcements to them if you are on the territory of the same Avalon Tower or on neighboring territories that are connected by a bridge or gateway.
Scoring points

In the Battle for Avalon era-defining Tournament, your Order earns points for each Avalon Tower that it holds.

Points are awarded to you only if an Avalon Tower is captured by a member of your Order, i.e. the relevant Order member has organized a successful Raid.

Your Order won't earn points by sending troops on a Raid that has been organized by a member of your Pact, even if your Pact captures an Avalon Tower.

You can find information about checkpoints and holding statistics in the "Info" and "Holding statistics" tabs, in the Tournament window.

The information in the "Holding statistics" tab is updated after a specific period of time or when you lose control over an Avalon Tower.

You can see the position that your Order took in the Tournament rankings only after the Battle for Avalon is over. If your Order takes a top place in the rankings, all Order members will receive a message about the rewards.

End of the Tournament and rewards

When the Battle for Avalon is over, your Town is automatically relocated to your home Kingdom. If you are performing any actions at that time, all of these actions will be canceled and your troops will immediately return to your Town.

By reaching checkpoints and taking the top places in the Battle for Avalon Tournament ranking, Orders receive Medals of the Druids — a special currency used to make purchases in the Avalon Store.

The Avalon Store is a tab in the Order Store. Here, Order Masters can spend Medals of the Druids to buy various items, pieces of equipment, Townscapes, and Hero's Guises, which they can then send to members of their Order, including themselves.

The Avalon Store updates periodically, and the quantity of items and pieces of equipment in it is limited.

Only the Master can purchase and gift items and pieces of equipment from the Avalon Store.

Lords who have been sent a gift by their Order Master will receive a message in their mail.

If the Master disbands the Order, the Medals of the Druids that have been accumulated by the Order will be lost.
